2032 NFL Week 3: Seahawks victory makes Krabbs force Sandler to call him "Big Daddy"

Updated: May 22, 2020

For the first time since the "Haye Day," the Seahawks have won their first three games to open a season. Eugene and his crew invaded Pizza Hut Palace. Ate the competition, and went home full.

Dillion Kern tried to continue his hot streak of gunslinging on the first possession, but was cooled off. Sandler shouted "That's My Boy," from the owners box as Freddie Walters snatched it out of the air claiming it was his ball. That interception launched Walters into a tie for the league lead in takeaways this season.

"I saw that coming from a mile away," Walters said in the post game press conference. "Guys like Frazier, McGowen and Hughes have all beat us on a play like that so it became a main focus during our practices."

Krabbs' game-plan to shut down passing game was something they discussed all week. Still throwing for 231 yards and a touchdown, he still believes the defense did all they could to get the job done.

"Kern is a top passer in this league. You are not totally going to shut him down like we did last week to Baker," Krabbs began detail to reporters. "He is going to gain yards on you, but we have that bend don't break mentality drilled into our defense's skulls at this point."

Clapp took a break from steering the ship by letting Jermey Pounds take the wheel and having a "Just Go With It," mentality. Pounds had his best game of the season racking up three touchdowns, two on the ground and one in the air. The highlight of the game came from a play right before the half when Pounds kept his social distance from defenders as Clapp launched a pass down field for a quick score to end the half.

"I'm just happy to be involved in the game-plan again, man," Pounds said as he sat at his locker post game. "Gene and I have had our disagreements, but we put those aside at the start of the season. We want a Super Bowl. Seattle needs a Super Bowl."

"JPound and I have obviously had a rocky relationship, but we needed to put that aside before we began training camp," Krabbs said. "He is one of the most talented running backs in this league. We need him to compete for a championship come January."

The Seahawks have a short trip to their next opponent as Eugene Krabbs announced during the post game press conference that the team will not be returning to the west coast until after their matchup against the Giants in the Meadowlands.

"I discussed this at length with my staff and we believed that it makes zero sense for us to go back and forth. I have a few Capital One points saved up." Laughs filled the room as Krabbs wished media a good night and safe travels.
