2032 NFL Week 8: Krabbs gives back; Fly like an L3?

The Seahawks bye week fell on the trade deadline this year, which caused a fire sale out of Seattle. With three of the team's key players up for contracts at the end of the season, Krabbs and crew decided to let one receiver fly from the nest to follow the road to victory.

Artavious Luther "L3" III was dealt to Philly for a 1st round pick. In a deal that shook up the locker room, it did not shock this underground reporter. L3 was not even one of the top three receivers on the team this year. Luther, Stecker, and even retirement bound AJ Brown have more yards than L3. L3 has more touchdowns than Stecker, but only by one score.

The Seahawks needed to trade one of their draft picks from three years ago. They did not have the cap space to resign them and it was clear who had to go out of the three. I referenced on the Underground Sports Northwest podcast that Gabe Luther was the easy choice to dump, but was not the right one. Clapp's connection with Luther has developed tremendously over the past few seasons. Clapp knows where he is going to be at all times and it led to the hottest start in the Krabbs Era.

Luther III struggled to break off defenders and dropped a lot of easy passes. Krabbs began to use the rookie Dom Waynes in on goal line opportunities instead of L3. Waynes converted on all three times he was used on the goal line slant route.

"I had a feeling this would happen," Luther III told reporters after his last practice in Seattle Tuesday. "No one is safe here at the deadline. I enjoyed my time here in Seattle, but it's time to head to Philly and make some new memories."

While Luther III said his goodbyes to his fellow teammates, Krabbs was no where to be found. It wasn't on purpose; Krabbs was attending to a different job that day.

Since Krabbs joined the Seahawks in 2019, he began to not only make an impact on the field, but off it as well. He began volunteering weekly. Whether it was youth football camps or food banks, Krabbs was always helping out the city that gave him a chance.

This week, Krabbs got spooky. He visited the Children's Hospital in downtown Seattle, along with team captain Khamari Nance, CB Reggie Francis, and RB Jermey Pounds to participate in their annual haunted house they create for the kids who cannot have a typical halloween experience. Krabbs participates in this event yearly and always brings a few guys with him.

"When I move to this city," Krabbs began to tell reporters, "I was struggling to make ends meet. I got this offer from Adam (West) and it changed my life. I wanted to give this city the feeling that he gave me. They welcomed me with open arms and I have made it my duty to give back to them twice fold."

Krabbs believes that bringing his players with him is not only great for the community, but helps with team bonding.

"When the guys come along, it adds a whole new element to the experience. They are not only making one of their fans' days, but they are developing another aspect of the relationship they have with their teammates. They are developing a more personal relationship with each other that goes deeper than X's and O's."

The Seahawks wished the 12th man a happy halloween on social media after the event with Krabbs and crew.

Gene and the rest of the squad host one of their divisional rival the Rams next week. Their first divisional game was on the road and got ugly. Can Krabbs rally the troops in front of the 12th man?
